As in home care Brisbane specialists, Memba Care is able to provide the high intensity daily personal activities support that some NDIS participants require in order to manage their lives on a day-to-day basis.

This support is provided by our highly trained, professional support workers and registered nurses, and is designed to help people with complex care needs to remain in their own homes or in shared NDIS accommodation, so that they can continue to live as independently as possible.

Benefits of Assist Personal Activities High

People with complex healthcare needs require high standards of personalised care from trained professionals who are equipped to deliver the necessary type and level of support. The aim in so doing is to ensure that participants can receive support for their needs as far as possible in their own homes or in a community setting, it order to develop and maintain their independence.

Our support workers and nursing staff can support participants with a variety of medical conditions and complex care needs, which may include (but are not limited to):

  • People with epilepsy and/or who are at high risk of suffering seizures;
  • Diabetes management and care;
  • Pressure injuries or complex wounds that require regular dressing;
  • Difficulties with eating and swallowing, and/or requiring tube feeding;
  • People with a stoma, a catheter, or who have other complex bowel or urinary issues;
  • Respiratory support or tracheostomy care;
  • People required to use a ventilator; and
  • Administering subcutaneous injections.

Personal healthcare plans

A key aspect of providing the support required for high intensity daily personal activities is that a personalised health care plan is devised, in consultation and partnership with participants, carers, medical professionals, and other allied health care providers. Participants have an active role in the management of their care, so that it is possible for them to live as independently as possible day to day, while still ensuring that their complex needs are taken care of.

Support can be provided for a limited time or on an ongoing basis as required, generally in your own home or accommodation shared with other NDIS participants, but care services can also be delivered in a community or centre-based setting, if necessary.

Registered NDIS provider

As a Brisbane registered NDIS provider, our trained, skilled and professional support workers are committed to creating a friendly and compassionate care environment in which participants are supported in their daily lives.

Support is organised based on a participant’s needs, and so this will also determine the level of training, experience and expertise required by your support worker. The frequency of support required will also be a determining factor, depending on whether care is required on a daily basis, more frequently throughout the day, or whether continual, high intensity medical support is required around the clock.

Ultimately, we can organise and structure your in-home care and support schedule in conjunction with other regular commitments you may have, such as social activities or medical appointments, and if necessary support can even be arranged so that you continue to receive care when you are away from home for any reason.
