Contact Us

The ultimate goal of Innovative Community Participation is to supporting NDIS participants to build skills and capacity that will enable them to participate more widely in the local community. In order to so this, a support worker will partner with you to explore opportunities that might be open to you to take part in social activities and other community events.

Innovative Community Participation support aims to increase your capacity in such a way that you are equipped not only take part in the wider community, but also so that you better able to cope with life transitions, such as taking up employment or (re)entering education.

Benefits of Innovative Community Participation

Although we are a leading in home care Brisbane provider, we also help participants to build capacity using a community-based approach. Through developing and maintaining more extensive community links, clients can build resilience and enhance their overall sense of health and wellbeing, while also working towards achieving their personal development goals.

All of our Innovative Community Participation support services are devised in response to clients' specific circumstances. This means that they can cover a wide variety and range of needs, and help clients regardless of age, disability, or living arrangements.

Support to be a part of your community

Our support workers are committed to helping participants to build capacity through greater interaction with their local and wider communities, via special activities that are not covered in other categories of support.

This not only delivers benefits in and of itself in terms of greater independence, socialisation, health and wellbeing, but also means that NDIS participants are better able to access and maintain employment, or join a learning institution. It can also be the case that in time clients are able to transition away from Innovative Community Participation to more informal forms of support.

As supports in this program are tailored to your specific interests and strengths, they provide numerous opportunities for growth and development, and provide a boost to participants’ overall quality of life.

Why is community participation important?

In our role as a registered NDIS provider, we support clients to access a wide range of activities and events, and to foster their own informal networks.

Community engagement and participation delivers a range of benefits for NDIS participants, not least feeling socially, mentally and emotionally connected with the world around you. This can mean that you are better able to maintain positive relationships with friends, family and others, while also having a greater sense of self awareness. People who are involved in the community will also tend to devote more time to personal care, which brings with it a range of immediate and long-term benefits, not least an enhanced sense of independence,

The interests and skills you develop during community participation will also be transferrable to other areas of your life, and in many cases can help you on the path to employment or study through both learning specific skills and developing greater personal resilience.

This in turn can lead to greater confidence in managing your NDIS plan and funding, as well as liaising with government agencies and other authorities.
